I hope you will meet and get to chat to others here who have been in a similar situation to your mum's. I can understand why your poor mum is so worried at the moment and I hope she won't have to wait too long for the CT scan and that you get some definite answers soon. In the meantime, try and keep busy and distracted if you can as the long wait for the scan can be all consuming and time seems to be on standstill which can make you feel very anxious. Avoid looking anything up online until you find out more - I know this is easier said than done but it will only make you feel even more anxious. I know the doctor mentioned they are looking into cancer and this must be extremely worrying for you but try not to anticipate yet what it might be - hopefully it won't be too long now until you find out exactly what is going on. 

We are thinking of you during this stressful time and we are keeping absolutely everything crossed that it all turns out to be fine. Keep us updated when you hear more if you get a chance.

Thanku Lucie for your reply, the day my mum got her ct scan she got called back that evening as they had detected blood clots in each lung and 1 on her leg , gp told her that it’s lung cancer but we have to wait to see consultant to find out more about the cancer. The waiting is the worst bit! X
