Hi! 

In a similar position - waiting for my breast clinic appointment next week. The standard for an urgent referral is to be seen within 2 weeks, but as your Doc suspects it is benign and as you are supposed to be off on hols, I would ask for an appointment after you get back. My appointment will be 12 days after being referred, so waiting til after your holiday might only mean a delay of a few days from the appt you would have been given anyway.

Phone breast clinic to say am away fortnight and they say there is 7 week wait! Went online and visited one stop breast clinic yesterday. Saw consultant, had mammogram then ultrasound, large cyst was identified. Ultrasound man said I’ll drain it, which he did and off I went. All sorted in an hour. Don’t agree with private but my car was repaired last week for the same price as sorting me out! Worth every penny. Hope you don’t have to wait too much longer x
