Advice on growth found between uterus and ovaries!

Hello,

i am 23 years old, I have been having lots of issues since having my son 5 months ago. Lots of pelvic pain, shooting pain in my back and leg and uterus. Pain during sex, bleeding after sex, pain with urination after sex. Had all tests done for any infections, all clear. Had an MRI, all clear. However, they did find precancerous CN1 cells in my cervix, due to still having unexplainable pain, I was sent to a transvaginal ultrasound. Results came back early this week and they have found a growth 2.5cm by 2.5cm between my uterus and ovaries. I have my Gynaecologist appointment at hospital next week. I am scared and really don’t know what to expect! Any advice or has anyone been through anything similar? It could be a cyst, tumour, fibroid or cancer but it’s just frightening! Esecpialku cancer runs heavily in both sides of my family.

  • Hello CloRam,

Welcome to the forum although I'm sorry to hear about all the problems you've been experiencing since the birth of your son.

It sounds as if your GP has been thorough in ordering the tests and scans that you've had so far. It's impossible for us to say what this growth may be but hopefully the consultant will be able to give you a diagnosis at your appointment this week. It's natural that you are worried about what it may be but try to keep focussing on the fact that there are many things that this could be other than cancer.

If you think it would help to talk to someone before your appointment then you're welcome to give our team of nurses a call. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

I hope all goes smoothly this week. Do let us know how you get on if you're able.

    Best wishes,
    Jenn
