Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to read about the issues you've been experiencing recently - although glad to hear a number of tests were done on the same day to get the answers you need.

Unfortunately I'm not able to answer your question - I can only advise to hope for the best but prepare for or expect something else too, i.e. to keep your options open. It's best to stay as positive as possible and prior to finding out your results to keep yourself as busy and distracted as you can.

Any medical questions you have, it can be a good idea to note these down and to ask them at your appointment.

Is it ok to look into the what ifs it's not good news so I can get an idea of what may happen so I can ask right questions . For me this is the worse part as I dont feel in control and a little in limbo.

Not feeling in control is very hard and part of this journey it seems .. I found research has positives and negatives .. it can be good to know more about the potential journey but also it’s wise not to try to self diagnose as every case is totally unique and only the scans and biopsies hold those answers 

Hi thank you I think the worse part is the waiting. I have looked at worse case scenario and uterine seems highly curable with surgery . I think i was more shocked as expected to go to gynea they say it's nothing instead ended up with scans then two biopsys same day. I flit from its gonna be a big to do over nothing to what if .....

I think its just a case of standard practice to be honest, better to be safe than sorry... I have had a biopsy done 5 weeks ago on the same principle and can honestly say its the waiting for the results that’s the hardest part! I suspect like me once the results are back they will put an action plan in place and either way they will be on the case... I’m hoping mine isn’t the worst scenario and rather a case that my hormones are causing havoc ( 56 years old)... I’ve had a Mirena coil fitted when they did the hysteroscopy and I must admit its made a difference already... I hope they can reassure you as quickly as possible, wishing you all the best.

Hi yes I am hoping it's just my body being awkward.My two weeks is tomorrow so hoping to know by friday. I know it is because of the thickness of my uterus but that's all I took in.So hopefully will know soon.Thank you for replying 

Don’t be to despondent if you don’t hear straight away... I’m still waiting for my actual biopsy results and its been 5 weeks, My consultant has been on a 2 week holiday and will look at my results this week, so I’m hoping I will hear very soon... I rang the secretary up as was concerned that I hadn’t heard during the first few weeks and she said its not unusual for some biopsy to take longer. Wishing you the best of luck.

Thank you yesterday was a really bad day.My youngest had been on a night out monday and woke me up coming home so very tired. First time I cried since biopsy. I dont think its cancer ( I dont know what I'm meant to be thinking) but suddenly the oh *** what if it is kicked in . I dont know what im meant to do prepare incase it is or think its not just procedure .

Do you know its quite understandable to feel the way you do at the moment... its the not knowing that’s the hardest and I can honestly say its been the worst 5 weeks of my life not knowing whether I have cancer or not... All I know is that whatever comes back I will have to address it either way and also know that I will be cared for and treated accordingly!... I know its hard for me to say, but try like I did and distract yourself from over thinking and I’m hoping and sending big hugs that all comes back to you ok and it is just the hormones playing games!.

This reply means the world to me. I didnt know if I was normal or not for feeling as I do. Plus side I have four good friends all treated for different forms of cancer by my NHS trust who all are all clear now and cant praise our hospital enough so i have full faith in them. It wakes up parts of you that you didnt realise dictate you; for me its control issues . I am studying and had my plan now there is some limbo I cant control. So thank you so very much as you have helped in just one post. Sending love and hugs five weeks waiting is sheer hell I cant imagine how mentally exhausting it must be x
