Hi, I’m only 17 and in November had my tonsils out. Long story short i had a very problematic time getting them out as i had to be rushed back in hospital and have my throat recauterised due to severe bleeding 3 times. After that my throat didn’t quite heal and got infected again and i developed what my doctor thought were abscesses where my tonsils were removed and these eventually went. I’ve recently noticed a large lump of tonsil growing back and getting larger, but also other lumps that keep growing and going then growing back. I’ve also had problems with nose bleeds being very bad also since my tonsillectomy for some unknown reason. Recently i visited my gp about my throat and nose as i had my nose cauterised also which didn’t solve anything. My gp sent a referral straight back to ENT. I got a letter with an app for 2 weeks time to see the head consultant and thought I’d got lucky until i realised it was actually an urgent referral and after looking more into it i am really worried. I am only 17 so it is really hitting me like a ton of bricks and i don’t know what to do or think. Has anyone else gone through anything similar? My appointment is a week today.
