Hi Marie, 

I’m 26 and also have found a lump in my left breast. I have my appointment at the breast clinic tomorrow too at 3.40. 

I rang up and asked what it entailed and apparently it’s a thorough breast examination followed by an ultrasound (because of our young age) 

the ultrasound will show wether it’s a fluid filled lump or solid. If it’s fluid filled it’s a cyst. If it’s solid it can be a fibroadenoma (benign) or possibly what we all fear most. If the ultrasound shows a solid lump they then go on to do a biopsy which is usually the same day. Then you would have to wait for your results from that. Hopefully we will both know by the end of the day tomorrow what we are dealing with.
