Hi all,
I had a mole removed 5 days ago, the consultant seemed convinced it was a dysplastic mole (apologies if that’s spelt incorrectly). When I had it removed I forgot to ask how and when I would get results but I assumed I’d call the GP or get a letter or something. I then noticed that the post operation instructions say at the bottom that you “may” get an appointment with your dermatologist please take a friend with you to the appointment. Anyway today I got a letter telling me I have an appointment booked with dermy for 15th August just 3 weeks after the mole was removed. I’m terrified this means it’s bad news as I don’t understand why they wouldn’t just write to me or call me to say all is well. Does anybody know if this is in fact a bad sign or do they just do appointments for positive and negative news???
Thanks in advance for any replies x
