colonoscopy

had a colonoscopy about 6 months ago they found a small polop they zoomed in on it i saw it on the screen but left it after the test i asked the nurse why he didnt remove it she said it would cause more complications and better to leave it where it is when i got my results back there was no sighn of the polop on there now im getting a little worried that they should have removed it just wondered what i should do it was only one polop but i was told they should be removed if found thanks

  • Hello darrenp,

I think perhaps the best thing to do if you are worried is give your GP a call and mention the situation in detail - do explain that when you got your results back there was no sign of the polyp being mentioned but that the nurse thought best not to remove it. I think it would be a good idea to discuss this with your doctor or specialist (if you have a follow up appointment) who will be in the best position to advise you further. I definitely think it is worth bringing it up just to be sure that the right course of action was taken.
