Swollen lymph nodes

Hi I wrote on here a good few months ago about having a small lump in neck nodes, I had an uss and it just showed swollen lymph nodes. 

The past few months my health has further declined the lump has gotten bigger, having night sweats, coughing dizziness and nausea vomiting.

i went back to my gp to explain and show him that the lump has grown significantly larger than it was previously, my gp decided to send me for a second uss, this was two weeks ago and showed my lymph nodes were enlarged more than previously and that they was a mass now. 

I am soo worried now my gp has sent me for a 2 week wait cancer referall. I'm trying my best to think positive and think it's not cancer but I know my body has been unwell and no one has listened or actually believed me. 

 

 

Can anyone help me or tell me what to expect at this appointment on Tuesday? My friends and family are all trying to be positive and say it isn't but there's a chance it could be.

    This is quite a common talking point on the forum so hopefully some of our members who have been on this pathway will be along soon to let you know what to expect but in the meantime I just wanted to share some information that we have about urgent referrals.

    I hope this helps to put your mind at ease slightly about your upcoming appointment but if you'd like to talk things through with someone then do give our cancer nurses a call next week on 0808 800 4040. They're available Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

    Thankyou, I appreciate it! I've read the urgent referral but I'm just worrying so much at the min I'm scared and it's daunting when I feel even worse the next day it's constantly feeling like a battle and These cold clammy night sweats and the constant cough and nausea headaches all have me worrying that the mass they've found since my previous scan is something sinister I know I'm prob over reacting but I had a an awful 2 years where I tried positive thinking only to be disappointed and devasted at the bad stuff that keeps happening x
