I'm sorry that your are having to wait so long for your results. Sadly, the average wait is usually 4 week, however once we enter school holiday season the wait becomes longer due to staff taking their holidays. Sometimes the results come back quicker than 6 weeks and, if there is a consultant available to see you in clinic, they will send you an earlier appointment. Don't mistake this early appointment for bad news - it doesn't matter whether it's good or bad news, they will still want to see you face to face with the results so will send for you when they have an appointment slot free.
