Hi
Ive never posted on here before but I could do with a bit of advice. Thank you.
I have pelvic pain for about 5 weeks. I’ve also dipped my own urine with home UTI test kit and I’ve occasionally had lots of white blood cells. So I assumed an infection.
The pelvic pain isn’t agony but it’s on/off, like period pain. Sometimes it is really sore where I take paracetamol. Which doesn’t seem to work.
I’ve also tried changing my diet and even tried buscepam. Nothing worked. Last week I had an internal examination - although sore tender GP didn’t find any cause of my pain so referred me for ultrasound.
Im fortunate enough to have private healthcare so I had ultrasound that day. The radiographer was very thorough. She also did an internal ultrasound and she found a cyst on my left ovary.
She said it was slightly unusual on one side so is going to rescan mid August.
I didn’t ask the question - but now I’m a bit confused and worried. I’ve read up about ovarian cysts and I know they are very common and most are harmless. But I’m still concerned about it.
What does unusual mean?
My period started two days ago. (3 days early which is unusual for me). It’s very heavy. I still have the pain around my pelvic area. Not bad but it’s there. Like a dull on off discomfort. I’ve been urinating a lot too.
I feel like I couldn’t actually hold it in if I wanted too the urge to wee comes on strong and I have to go. My bladder feels full most of the time.
I’ve been getting aches down my right leg too (is this connected?)
I know this is a site for people suffering with Cancer and I apologise if I shouldn’t be posting on here but I’m worried this cyst is something else.
Has anyone else experience this?
Can anyone help with what unusual cyst means?
Many thanks in advance x
