Hello all,
I am a 38 year old female. I have had an ongoing change in my bowel movements, perhaps just due to a change in diet. Very much tmi but I use to have large stools and some bleeding from (diagnosed) fissure on passing stool.
I started to eat large amounts of live yoghurt and also to eat porridge every morning. Subsequently I have developed pain after eating in my lower left abdomen, softer more frequent stools( sometimes several times a day) and have lost a stone in weight in about 3 months.
Recently I am suffering from exhaustion. I have intermittently been diagnosed with anemia over the past 18 months which has been put down to my periods. I have been to the GP who thinks my tiredness this time may be a UTI.
I am worried there may be something bad underlying my change in bowel movements and weight loss but I have changed my diet. I have not mentioned the weight loss to the GP as I have changed my diet, started drinking less etc. I am wondering if I am just being neurotic? Overall the GP has not seemed worried.
Many thanks.
