I think getting another referral would be a good idea if you’re continuing to have problems.

No matter what anyone says, it is an embarrassing experience for a lot of people to have their testicles examined whether it be a man or woman doing the examination. You should be able to request that a male member of staff examine you if you are more comfortable with that.

As a Nurse with a lot of endoscopy experience, I,be looked after many people who feel the same way. All we can do as healthcare professionals is acknowledge that it’s embarrasing for you and reassure you that we don’t give it a second thought.
