Awaiting biopsy results- feeling anxious

Little nervous to write but am so anxious I just wanted to connect with anyone going through the same thing.

In summary I was suffering with feeling heaviness in my left breast for a couple of days last week and pain under my arm - Weds night 3/7/19 I felt a large hard lump about 4 cm in my left breast below the middle of the nipple- painful to touch. I was going away so couldnt get to my GP until this Monday 8/7/19 - was referred to 2ww breast clinic and I went yesterday 9/7/19 - had mammogram, ultrasound and 4 core biopsies of the lump. The consultant said it was a dilated duct but had debris and mass in it so wanted to do biopsy to rule out anything sinister. He said these conditions are often benign. I have to go back next Weds 17/7/19 for the result:(

  • Don’t worry too much it takes about 3 weeks I thought 2 weeks but no it was 3 as was told pathology had to test it 3 different doctors look at biopsy I had 4 core skin tissue as well have to go back as right breast has also unfamiliar tissue it’s the waiting more tests surgeon said to me on Friday I want you back this week as I have cancer cells under left arm  phoned his secretary she phoned clinic I’m going hopefully next week mid week I burst into tears as was told by surgeon 5his week said clinic busy he shouldn’t have said this week I hav3 calmed down now but wrong information stresses you out hopeful your okay just to let you know keep yourself occupied as it does take 3 weeks before you will know your result all 5he best to you x

No they shouldn't tell you a week if it's longer! They said I would have mine next Weds and gave me an appointment as I left the Breast clinic ! I will be upset if I go and they have nothing to tell me either way :(
