Breast Clinic referral

Hi there,

I found a lump in my breast and saw my GP a month ago who referred me to the breast clinic as a priority a month ago, he said I'd get an appointment with in 3 weeks, chased it up yesterday to be told by the clinic that I'd been downgraded to routine and would be seen within 12 weeks...is there any way I can push to be seen sooner or is this normal?

    I'm sorry to hear that you've been dealing with a health concern recently. I can only imagine that the referral has been downgraded after being triaged by a Dr based on what your GP had written. 

    If you are worried then please do get back in touch with your GP and let them know what you've been told. If they feel that you need to be seen sooner they will be able to contact the clinic to get this sorted. 

    I hope that you don't have to wait too long.
