Equivocal kidney cysts

I am a 61 years old female with a five year history of bladder infections and microhematuria in my urine. In April I experienced a particularly nasty episode with frank hematuria in my urine. My GP sent me for a cystocopy, CT with contrast of my bladder and finally an ultrasound of my kidneys. I have just got the results (by telephone) that reveal three equivocal cysts in my kidneys (two in one kidney and one in the other. Blood tests show my kidney function is normal. They are recommending a follow up CT scan in 6 months. From what I've read, equivocal renal cysts may be malignant - it is hard not to worry but does a follow up scan in 6 months sound reasonable or should I be pushing for a sooner follow up? I believe waiting six months is known as Watchful Waiting?

Many thanks!
