It depends on lots of variables. If the results are positive for melanoma they will first have to hold an MDT (Multi Disciplinary Team meeting) to discuss the next step forward for you - this includes consultants from dermatology, plastics, oncology and nurses. It also depends on whether your consultant is on holiday as they like to give you results face to face, whether good or bad. Appointments are made for their clinic and they only have clinic one day a week (unless it's a very busy hospital like mine which has two). So the answer is anything from a week to 3 weeks from the day they were received back from histology. Their clinic is probably on the day of the week that you were first seen when referred so if for example it was a Thursday you can expect an appointment for this Thursday or a Thursday thereafter.
