Hi, I am new to the forum and feeling anxious about my follow up appointment today!! I have a pea sized lump in my right breast which I have noticed and the doctor had told me that it wasn’t a concerning lump but the next minute I’m being called to have an ultrasound and then I had a core biopsy with ultrasound straight the way. Again I was told that I shouldn’t be concerned about the lump and that it was benign. However I have been back for the results and they now want to carry out another biopsy to be on the safe side! They have also said that a small metal plate may need to be inserted into it which makes me really concerned. So are they now not sure if this is cancerous?? Going out of my mind with worry. Also my last biopsy was painful and I am very bruised over a week later! Did anyone have much pain during their biopsy? I had some local anaesthetic but it didn’t feel like it had worked. I am now so scared about going back to have it done again. Any comments here would be much appreciated.
