Lump

Hi,

My name is Tony and I am a 23 year old male. I have noticed a pea sized lump on my right groin around 4 months ago, but it is deep inside my right groin  I told a couple of people but they told me it is just a swollen gland. I have been experiencing re-accuring fevers and headaches. I have not been having night sweats and I have not lost any weight. Recently, around 2 weeks ago, I notinced another bigger lump just on top of the other lump and it is a little firm and painless. I have my ultrasound coming up next Thursday. Do you guys have any idea what it could be?

Many Thanks

Tony :)

  • Hi Tony,

There are lots of things it could be. A cyst, blocked hair folicle or a swolen/enlarged gland. Are you practicing safe sex? It could be an STI. The fact that you are not having night sweats or losing weight is a really positive thing. Try not to worry too much (easier said than done, I know). Get the scan over with and let the worry take a back seat. Cross that bridge if/when you have to.

  • Hiiii,

Thank you for the reply!! :) Yeah I am trying not to worry about it as much as possible. However, my circumstances are not allowing me to. The right side of my groin (where the 2 Lumps are located) is pulsating pretty badly. That area is very warm, with pain and discomfort. One of the lump is pretty hard and the other one is very soft. I don't know why.
