Do I have lymphoma?

Okay so I’m freaking out so bad recently, I’ve found 3 glands on my neck that I can feel.. I have eczema and asthma and i know when I was younger my lymph nodes would become swollen from my bad skin. I’m now 19 and I went to the doctors and they sent me for a blood test and then a hospital appointment with the head and neck clinic, where they said they are going to have a proper look and maybe a scan and if it comes to it a biopsy.. I’ve never been so scared in my life, I don’t have night sweats or any other symptoms apart from the swollen lymph nodes. I’m so worried and can’t stop. Crying I’m only 19 like I said I just need some advice as looking on google doesn’t seem to be helping

    Hi there - I'm afraid there isn't anyone here who can say whether or not you have lymphoma. What I can say is that you have done the right thing by seeing your GP. DO NOT be scared.All that's happening is that the doctors are checking things out as they should do. They said MAYBE a scan and MAYBE a biopsy that doesn't mean you WILL have those things. Even IF you do the chances are 9 out of 10 that it won't be anything at all to worry about. I haven't made that figure up 9 out of 10 people referred for cancer tests (& you haven't been referred for them) come back clear. 

    I don't mean to make light of your worry but the actual reality is as I've said - they're just checking you out - it could be anything or more likely nothing. :):):):)

    Thank you it’s so easy to just over think things even more these days with the internet.. I will try and keep calm and let the doctors/nurses do their job,

    Internet? Internet? Goodness me don't be googling things! Most of what's out there is rubbish & we aren't doctors & don't understand most of it. Years ago (I'm old) we used to have medical encycolpaedias & EVERY illness people read about they were convinced they had - Google is the same. PLEASE stay off it!!.:):):)

    Yeah I’m just trying to keep my cool, I have my hospital appointment Friday so it came through quick I was told I was put on the 2 week wait, so glad it’s been done in the same week, what scares me is I have no clue how long my lymph nodes have been up,
