Hi there, I'm so sorry to hear how things are going at the moment it's a lot of information to take in, I know as my husband has lung cancer.  So he had the biopsy on the Tuesday and by Friday we were seeing our oncologist and told what he had, the McMillan nurses sat in on the consultation and then took us to a private room to explain what we were to expect in the future weeks.  So once you know you will have backup services to talk to, if you can make sure he consents to you talking to everyone so you know what is going on, my husband hardly remembers anything said to him as its traumatic at the time.  Then a meeting will be held by the people involved in his care, a plan will be made and you will have another appointment to see what they want to do.  I hope that this helps you a little bit.  Post again if you need more help.  Sending my best wishes to you, Carol
