Hi everyone, can I ask, I'my having a lot of symptoms, unusual bleeding which smells bad and a few other things. Are the symptoms for cervical cancer similar to anything else? I want to go get a smear tomorrow but I'm panicking.
I apologise for not being a female so I have no idea about things like you have. But what I can say is get the Smear done, if there is something sinister about, the earlier it is caught the better. I hope you are brave enough to got seen, I know it is a painful experience as my Wife has told me, but the pain for a few days is better than not knowing what is wrong. Good luck.
How have you got on? There can be lots of reasons for unusual bleeding which are not cervical cancer, but the smear test should pick up if you have any abnormal cells. I must say I have never found a smear test to be painful, or even uncomfortable, so I hope it’s the same for you. Let us know how you get on and if there’s any other questions you have. Good luck! xx
Thank you so much for your email. I went to a clinic today and good news, the Dr said my cervix looks fine. They can’t figure out why I am bleeding, I get some results in a week but they think it could be pelvic inflammatory disease.
