lymphoma symptoms progressing

a while back i talked about some symptoms i was dealing with. my lower legs get extremely itchy at night to the point where i can’t sleep. there seems to be a very small lump under my jaw on the left side of my neck. it is hard and not visible when you look at me but i can feel it when i gently press on my neck. last month i got a cold and i had a fever for four and a half weeks breaking below 100.4° f twice. i am constantly tired and taking naps as well as falling asleep early. i dont have night sweats and i know that is a very common symptom. i don’t want to go to the doctor if this doesn’t sound like something to worry about. does this sound like it could be lymphoma? have people had similar symptoms with lymphoma? or am i just over thinking it? please someone get back to me and let me know if i have anything to worry about or if i should just let it go.

  • Hiya,

Thought i would pop by, i had symptoms of night sweats, itching all over, weird rashes, fevers, fatigue but no obvious lympnodes when i was tested by my GP and referred to a haematologist and am awaiting results which are monday to test for lymphoma/ other blood cancers/disorders.

I would say that if you are concerned enough to write on this forum then maybe it is worth running it past your doctor just to ease your mind.None of us can say for certain if it is lymphoma. The small lump could be a swollen lymphnode from an recent infection if you say you've had a cold recently which can cause this swelling. Your GP can run a few tests with your blood to see if there is anything to be concerned about.

    I hope this helped :)

    Take care x

  • i’m sorry to hear that you’re having symptoms as well. i hope your results come back negative and you find another cause for your symptoms. i feel like if i go to the doctor my concerns won’t be addressed. the last time i went i tried to tell him about the itchy legs and fever and nausea, it was just labeled as a cold and allergies. but these symptoms have been bothering me for over a year at this point and they aren’t getting any better.

  • If its been a while since youve seen a gp i would go back to mention this lump that you have now and reiterate to them that these other symptoms have been going on a while now, or speak to a different gp than the one you last saw. I have to fight to get listened too most of the time due to me having anxiety and bipolar they like putting my symptoms down to anxiety 90% of the time so i just go back and see someone else who will listen properly. You are well within your rights to get a second opinion if you are not happy with what has been done so far. They also seem to like fobbing younger people off aswell even those with a family history of cancers ect.

I hope this reply helps :)

  • Did either of you get an answer for your symptoms? My fevers are getting more often. I have had no tests yet just bloods which were normal
