worried I have skin cancer

Hi to you all.

thank you for taking the time to read my message. 

About 4 weeks ago, I noticed what I thought was a spot on my left breast. 

I left it over a week and decided to see the GP

she gave my antibiotic and took a swab to send off.

My results came back with "NO INFECTION!"

She gave me another course of different antibiotics and said she wanted to see me in a weeks time to review, (which was today)

still no improvement!

she felt all around both breast, with no obvious feel of lumps, but said she want to make a urgent appointment, so I can have a biopsy on it.

I know I shouldn't,  but I have trying to find out what it could possibly be and I am worried it is skin cancer.

I would appreciate any insight, but please be kind as I suffer with bad anxiety.

  • Welcome to the forum mummyto3 although I'm sorry for the reason you've joined us.

    The waiting and not knowing is hard but if you can, try and stop yourself from self diagnosing as this will make your worries and anxiety worse.

    Many of our members have been in similar situations and hopefully you'll receive some words of support and comfort from them soon.

    Fingers crossed the biopsy will show this isn't any cause for concern.

    HI,

    I'm sorry you are dealing with this worrying health problem. Do you know which department your GP has referred you to? It's not common for skin cancer to start as a new spot on the breast so I'm wondering if you've been referred to the breast clinic to rule out a cyst. Please don't use Dr Google as it's not 100% correct and tends to only show bad scenarios. Please let us know when you get your appointment as that will give a clue as to which department you have been referred to.

    I have been referred to dermatology emergency clinic 

    waiting for a appointment. 

    will keep updating as soon as I hear back.
