Hi there I have Recently been for a scan on my tummy and was told by my doctor I have a cyst on ovary and it’s 2.5 with multiple cyst I’m now waiting to go to gynaecologist to get them check out. Am only 37  and was wondering is should I be worried about it. Thank u.

    Hi matern37,

    I am also 37 and have just had a ultrasound  scan on tge 28th May which found abnormalities on the left side of my uterus and also found a mass measuring 4.75cm in diameter. Then on the 7th June I had a CT scan which found that the mass had grown a further 2cm diameter. I spoke to a gynea consultant who advised that they are not happy 6ths changes which had occurred in 10 days since the ultrasound and that they are referring me as urgent to the gynea team for further tests. The mass has solid characteristics and I'm going out of my mind. I was told that i will definitely be having surgery but what that means i don't know. 

     Have you seen the gynea team yet?

    Hi Lorraine no I haven’t been seen with gynaecology I just got a tummy scan done on the 5th off June and then I got a letter in to go to gynaecologist on the 18th of july my cyst is 2.5 with multiple cyst I don’t know wht that means.                Elaine xx

    It must be awful just getting a letter in the post as you must have so many questions. When I had my ultrasound scan I was told there and then that i would need a referral to see the gynea team and received my  appointment letter stating the 14th November but after the CT scan which I had as an inpatient and it showing that it had grown and showed solid characteristics they  cancelled the november appointment and moved it to an  urgent appointment which means I have to be seen within 4 weeks. My head is spinning as it feels like time is standing still. Unfortunately I don't know what they mean with multiple cysts but I'm here if you want to chat.
