Does anyone know?

Can anyone please tell me what it means when I was told I have borderline lung cancer. It makes no sense to me. I cant get a GP appointment until next week and its stressing me out. It was only two years ago that I recovered from a 10 week coma after getting sepsis due to abscesses on my lung. I also had pneumonia. Please help

  • according to some websites borderline cancer means low malignancy cancer, which apparently means that there are abnormal cells that may become cancer, but usually do not. I should contact a specilaist cancer nurse which you can find via the MacMillan website   https://www.macmillan.org.uk

Try not to stress, I all ways say dont worry until you have something to worry about. I myself just had a nasty letter this morning after a mammaogram. At first i felt sick, then got my head on straight and applied my own mantra "dont worry until you have something to worry about"and ate a bar of chocolate, feel better now.

    Wishing you al the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hi Laura..

    I'm not a qualified person .. so I'm just guessing ...

But I know some people have that diagnosis after a smear test .. it shows signs of changes that need keeping an eye on in case it turns to cancer ... I'm thinking that's what it probly means ... I wouldn't panic if I were you .. it's always good for changes to be noted and looked at ..

I'm tagging our @Ask the nurses ...and   "moderators"     .. hopefully they will pick up your thread as they know far more then me .. they can explain it better ...
