I can relate to you because I had experienced it few months ago and hoping for my full recovery.  I had swollen nodes on my mandibular area appeared march 28. I undergo different tests like biopsies (FNAB,  excision biopsy)  and ultrasound. Im just recovering from my surgery 2weeks ago.  I just received the biopsy result today and its tb on lymph node. I need to undergo 6months medication to clear the virus.  I clearly understood your place right now,  waiting for test results really sucks. I cried almost everyday praying to God to help me and spare me from C.  It was the worst days of my life.. I even diagnosed myself with every form of blood and head/neck cancer with the help of dr.  google.  And thats the worst thing to do because it will only add stress and anxiety.  Just keep calm coz theres so many possible reasons for neck masses aside from C.  Just keep on praying to God and everything will be fine. Hi, don't google! Rely only on expert medical support and in my experience include your emotional wellbeing in that. Docs know your scared ( the fear is horrendous, I know) but they can't help if you don't give them a prompt. They can prescribe mild meds to help with the anxiety and to get you through. They don't hand out sweets, obviously, but if they think they can safely  prescribe something to take the edge off, that gives you reserves of strength. Everyone is different, but for me the open conversation about coping was a good one and the meds have helped me to cope between diagnosis and treatment starting, which is the most unsettling period. Good luck, but hope you both get good news.

I understand exactly how you feel.  Make that appt as soon as possible which is what I did when I discovered a lump.  And, like all the good advice given on this site - don't Google.  I have stopped doing that and feeling calmer for it.  I am trying to stay positive.  Hope this helps.  Good luck - hope you get good news. x

Ye I’m definitely not googling again. I felt good in myself before I googled and then after reading about it I think my brain started playing tricks on me and started feeling symptoms only cause I was reading about them. Google is defo out the window now
