Waiting on Hysteroscopy Results

Hello,

I had a Hysteroscopy yesterday and the Gynegologist showed me the images from my womb and said "that white area shouldn't be there" He said it could be a septum but I had no problems conceiving or carrying my two sons, both went to full term problem free. I am Perimenoapusal, aged 52 and haven't had a period for 7 months. I have experienced bleeding post exercise and that is why I was referred.

I am beyond worried about the area of concern. I have not told my parents, siblings or children about the outcome yesterday, I just told them it was routine due to my age to check things out. My husband was there ith me and is being very supportive but is obviously worried too. I have to wait between 2 - 4 weeks for the results. I couldn't sleep last night for worrying and feel very weepy today and alone

  • Hi,

  • I had a very similar situation.  It turned out to be an extremely large fibroid. Please try not to worry (easier said than done I know) your consultant will give you the results of your test as soon as possible.  Because something unusual is showing in your body doesn't mean the worst possible scenario.  I wish you all the best and your results are not as bad as you think they maybe.  Also, you are not alone - your family and friends will be very supportive of you tell them how you are feeling.  Share your thoughts and feelings with them, it will take a lot off your mind.
