Hello!
Just wondering if anyone has any advice.
About 2 years ago I found a lump in my right breast under the areola area of my nipple. To the right side.
At the time, I was breastfeeding so assumed it was something to do with that and ignored it. It was still there after a month so I went to the doctor. She thought it could be related to feeding also and advised me to wait another month. The lump was still there a month later so I got a referral to the breast clinic where they did a biopsy.
The doctor didn’t seem to know what the lump could be or at least he never gave me a name for it. He said they found no cells that could be cancerous and to leave it and because I’m not yet 30 (I’m 24) he didn’t think it was serious. The doctor did say to see the doctor again if there were any changes and to get it checked out if it’s still there when I’m past the age of 30.
It’s always been a bit sore if I touch it or the area near to it and lately over the past few months it seems even slightly brushing over it, it’s a little sore. The lump is circular/oval in shape, about an inch or so in length and very hard. There’s no squishyness to it and haven’t been any changes in size or shape since I found it.
So yeah, sorry for the long post but just wondering if anyone has ever had anything similar or can offer advise. Thank you! X
