fused lymph nodes

Hi there,

I am awaitng results from Axillary Lymph node removal. Long journey to get here after CT scans, biopsies that were inconclusive now this. On waking after surgery was told they had to take 2 lymph nodes as they were fused together.

In my mind that isn't the best news, surely healthy nodes wouldn't be fused together? I have Sjogren's syndrome so after lots of late night googling (not a great idea, I know), I am pretty convinced I have Nodal MZL.

Anyone have similar experiences?

  • Hi Loupy,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to read about your worries and I know the wait for results and further information can be very difficult.

Unfortunately I'm unable to advise on your question, and it's always best to speak to your doctor about any medical worries you have. Make sure you ask them everything that's on your mind when you next see them, so that you have the information you need.

In the meantime if you'd like to discuss anything with our nurses, you can reach them on 0808 800 4040 (Monday-Friday, 9-5), although please note they're unable to diagnose or give a medical opinion.

And yes I would also advise staying away from Google if possible! The information isn't specific to you and is often also out of date.

Wishing you all the best and I hope you find this forum useful.

  • Hi Loupy

Can I asked what happened with your fused lymph nodes? I have two fused in my neck but no one has told me why. Does this always mean cancer?

    I hope you are ok?

    Thank you!
