Reassessing lump

hello,

i have only just joined and I was hoping someone could put my mind at rest.

i discovered 4 lumps in my back recently and went for an ultrasound within two weeks.  The results came back with 3 lipomas and one lump that needs reassessing as they are not sure what it is.  I have the next ultrasound in two weeks.

Also i have had a suspicious mole removed from my back and get the results of the biopsy in two weeks.  I have been fine and positive but I can’t help worrying.

I dont know what I am hoping to achieve by posting but I don’t really have any one to talk to and I think I am more worried about the second ultrasound than I thought I would be.

Has anyone had similar? I am sorry for going on

thank you

  • Hello Menorca3 and welcome to Cancer Chat,

I am sorry to hear about these four lumps in your back which have caused you so much worry recently. It's good they are being thorough in their investigations and it won't be too long now before you have this second ultrasound and get some definite answers. I can imagine it is all the more of an anxious time for you as you are simultaneously waiting to get the results of your mole biopsy in two weeks as well.

I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious.

I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.

Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine.

    Best wishes,

  • Hello Lucie

thank you for replying!  I know I should try not to worry and there are lots of people in a worse predicament than me so I am trying to stay positive.  I am feeling a bit under the weather at the moment and that isn’t helping but not long to wait now.

Thank you for your kind wishes
