Just wondering how people got on with a follow up smear? 

I had my previous back in November which came back high grade severe dyskarosis. Had loop on 31st December 2018 said they removed a substantial amount of my cervix as the effected cells werehad spread quite deep. 

Got a letter a few weeks after that saying no further treatment which I was over joyed by!! 

Ive just been for my 6 month follow up smear yesterday & the nurse said to me ahh it’s ur smear to check if the loop worked!

well I thought it had after I got a letter to say no further treatment? 

Has any one previously had an abnormal smear or CIN 3 followed by loop, to then go for ur 6 month follow up & find out the abnormal cells are still there or worse? 

Is it common for the cells to come back? 

Im not really sure what to expect now as I thought that was it happy days until the nurse said that to me yesterday... x
