Hi 4 weeks ago around the time of my period I discovered a grape sized lump on my left breast which was painful. I decided to leave it a week or two to see if it was hormone related however went to GP last Wednesday as had grown to size of a small plum. Temperature was slight raised at 37.6?so I was given 7 days of flucloxicillan 500mg x 8 per day.  I am now on day 6 and the lump has grown and is now the size of a small tangerine and extremely painful although temperature is now 37.4. Lump is now very visible and veins appear to be more prominent. Taking painkillers and using pain relief gel and booked into breaat clinic although my appointment has came through for 8 July.  Any suggestions in the meantime? I am 46.
