Hi all, so sorry if this is the wrong place to be posting if it is please remove. 

I just wanted some reassurance / to hear other people’s experiences as I’m currently seeing a gynaecologist due to 1yr+ of abnormal bleeding, lower back pain, extreme bloating, fatigue and slight swelling of my abdomen. 

Today I got my smear test results and they are abnormal so I’m being booked in for a biopsy of my cervix within the next two months. 
I don’t know what to expect which is making me anxious, I’m not worried about what the results will be as I can’t change that but I just want to mentally prepare myself for the procedure. He told me not to worry and went through the next steps after the biopsy if it is stage 1-3 of abnormalities but didn’t cover what the biopsy will be like and how it’s done?

I just wanted to know other peoples experiences and how they dealt with it. I’ve attended all my previous hospital, doctor & gynaecology appointments alone and everyone’s dismissing it/doesn’t want to talk about it which is making me feel even worse.
