Hi, I was wondering if I could get some advice about my continuous throat problems. I have had continuous sore throat and dis-comfort around the throat area for months since December 2018. I went to the ENT specialist after several visits to the GP. The ENT found one tonsil was bigger than the other, they told me I am going to need a tonsilectomy. On April I had my tonsils removed, I thought after this it would be the end to my sore throat issues. After I have recovered from the surgery after 2weeks, I felt a-lot better than before but it felt like I my sore throat issue was coming back slowly. On one week it felt like the upper part of my throat felt sore and dry but then another day later it feels like the back of my throat was rough ( Near my voice box). I can eat, drink, swallow and I do not have a cough or a flu, not a smoker. I'm drinking plenty of water thinking it was de-hydration but nothing has changed. I have an appointment this month to the ENT.
Normally when people have a tonsilectomy the outcome is good and people feel relived but for me it feels like I haven't fully benefited from this surgery although my throat feels slight better than before when my tonsils were swollen. I was starting to think could it something worse. Has anyone felt similar to me? Could it be cancer or could it be something else?
