Hi all.
I'm new to the forum.
My names Rebecca I'm 27 from the UK and carry the BRCA1 gene.
Back in February I started to get a pain in my left breast. It carried on for a month so I booked an appointment with my GP given my history. He sent me off for an ultrasound and to my surprise they found a lump.
I check myself frequently with having the BRCA1 gene.
When I got home after my ultrasound the hospital rang me to ask me to come in for another one the day after next.
After the second ultrasound they decided to send me for an urgent MRI scan. I booked my appointment to get the results of the MRI for the start of June. In the meantime the hospital rang me and after taking a look at the MRI scan asked me to come in for a mammogram and biopsy.
So now my June appointment will be these results.
I'm so nervous I can't stop thinking about it. The doctors have said absolutely nothing during my previous appointments.
What else could this lump be?
Has anyone else had all sorts of screening and it turned out to be nothing?
Thanks in advance for any information or calming advice.
