Who tells you that you have cancer?

I was under a heamotologist just before I had chest pain six weeks ago. A trip to A&E revealed a 8.2cm mass in my lung/chest cavity. They are suspecting more lymphoma and took a biopsy last week. I've been given an appointment with my heamotologist on Monday. Do you think this will be the results? They wouldn't answer that question on the phone. Who told you? Is it a heamotologist for a reason?

Any advice or experience would be great x

  • Hi Emilou,

Hopefully some of our members will pop by to share their experiences with you soon but I just wanted to stop by to wish you good luck and let you know we'll be thinking of you.

I'm not sure what time your appointment is tomorrow but if it isn't too early you can have a quick chat with our cancer nurses about this on 0808 800 4040. Their phone lines will be open from 9a.m.

    Kind regards,
