Neck lump, pressure/pain in side?

I am really worried.

I have a lump on my neck that i've had for over a month. Its hard, smooth, but is still small. Probably the size and shape of an almond. I also have pressure, and ache, in my left side. No other symptoms - except a reduced appetite. 

 

I'm only 23, and my doctor has asked for a biopsy which is really scary. Does anyone have any advice, or has had a similar experience?

    I have had similar it is very hard to say yes I have had that because everyone is different. 

    Mine was the size of a pea when it started in December I would say it was on my clavicle bone but the consultant says in neck .at first It was painful  but only I walked (15 mins of walking) I took some nurofen n was fine .. by March the size has increased 2 5cm bruised  n very painful I had to stop working .gp sent me to A&E n I was referred back to the breast unit (I had cancer 15years ago) I had ct scan MRI scan bone scan pet scan & a neck biopsy  I had my results back last week n sadly I have secondary breast cancer... but please don't think the worse you lump could b a cyst  

    Hope u don't wait to long 4 your results as I found that was the hardest part the not knowing

    Thank you so much for your reply, im so sorry to hear about your cancer :( I know what you mean is so horrible not knowing, atleast when you know you can focus on getting better. I have 2 weeks to wait for my appointment for my biopsy then not sure how long to wait until the results, hopefully not long. I wish you the best and I know you can get through this! :) xx

    Thank u  I will stay positive x have u had a biopsy b4 ? mine wasnt painful but as I said everyone is different I hope u gets the results quickly xx let me know how u get on x
