Hi there I had the same postmenopausal bleeding after 2 years of no periods had a scan which showed thickness of the uterus no polyps or fibroids and then had a hysteroscopy, the waiting for results was awful the not knowing, anyway finally got them 2 weeks later and thankfully my biopsy was benign no further investigation needed, please stay positive as it's a lot more common than I thought postmenopausal bleeding,  I really hope your results come back soon and your result is like mine, Take care x

Hi thank you so much for replying to my post . I am so happy your results came back clear . It feels better to talk to someone who has beeen through this as find it hard to talk to my daughter and my fiancée as they just keep saying you will be ok and I don’t want to worry then with How I really feel . I am glad I have someone to talk to as you can feel so alone so thank you .

Thank you I know it’s all I think about as well . You try not too but it always comes back to what if . I am trying to be positive because the Doc said all looked ok in his opinion but that nagging doubt is still in there as I said that’s is only to the naked eye . Think my partner and daughter are fed up with me moping around bit hard to be cheerfull with all this in your head . I am glad you had a good result and all was ok but the waiting is awfull . My gynacolagyst said everything looked ok too, but I still contimplated the worst till I actually saw it in writing, and as for your family they won't fully understand what your going through I don't think you can unless it's you that's going  through it, I'll be thinking of you take care x

I also meant to ask you when you got the all clear did they tell  you what caused it . Are you on any medication or anything or did they just say it was one of those things . Do you have to go for check ups or anything like that also did they  say it could happen again .

The gynaecologist said it could happen again it just does sometimes, I'm not on any medication but apparently if your on hrt bleeding is common, I hav'nt had a follow up letter from my Doctor as yet so no follow up checks as yet, I am still waiting for my smear results to come back too. 

THanks for the update . I am not on any medication at all no hrt  or anything I take it you were my periods just stopped three years ago until that bleed but I had all the symptoms throughout of the menopause sweats etc . I had a smear last time 2017 . 

No I wasn't on or hrt and never have been your symptoms are almost identical to mine apart from being two years since  my last period im 54 by the way, if you were like me you've been reading everything on line and YouTube this made me more anxious keep positive Tues is almost here x
