Hello!
Back again, I posted here a month or so ago after a doctor referred me to haematology- I thought it would make more sense to make a new thread as my last post was quite jumbled, haha.
I went for a haematology appointment on Friday and spoke with a specialist who found some lymph nodes I hadn't noticed, but said he wasn't extremely concerned and put my symptoms down to perhaps medications I'm on- I had bloods taken and was told I'd hear within two week so to book in.
Today I got a call that the specialist wants me to book in this week for the scan, and they made an appointment for me tomorrow. They never told me over the phone what kind of scan I'm having, only that it's to check for swollen lymph nodes they can't see in my abdomen.
Is it likely to be a CT scan? Definitely not an MRI as they told me not to worry about my piercings haha. Also, is this urgency normal?! I've had CTs for injuries and had to wait an age, yet I got the call today at 1 and am in at 9:30 tomorrow. Work aren't too happy with me! :|
