A PET scan is used to create 3D images of the inside of your body and gives the team a much more detailed view of things. They can be used for a number of reasons so although I know this is concerning you try not to read too much into it. Think of it being a positive that the Dr's are looking closely at this problem for you and trying to find the cause of it all. 

Looking back through your posts it sounds like it's been a very long and anxious few weeks. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for the scan and for all the results to come together. I know it's easier said than done but try to take each day at a time and not look too far ahead as this will make you feel more anxious.
