Welcome to the forum.

Everyone will tell you that waiting for results is the worst part of the cancer experience. Most of us have wanted to scream at well-meaning friends and relations at some point or other. Blind faith in "I'm sure everything will be fine" doesn't help, it is just irritating! 

For what it is worth, the results will take just as long whatever they show - good, bad or indifferent. It is just as important to give people good news as it is bad.

I’m feeling the same as you.  I have an enlarged tonsil and waiting for it to be removed and feel like I’m going crazy.  Went to ENT yesterday and he said it looks normal but has to come out!! It’s 3 times it’s normal size.  Im being fast tracked so should have it out soon.  Was hoping he would send me home yesterday saying it was nothing so the wait continues.  The grumpy mood, the not wanting to get out of bed, the not wanting to go to work next week although its probably the best place for me. Good luck with your results I do know the tretments and managements are excellent now.  My mum, dad, brother and sister all had cancer and my brothers and sisters treatment were excellent mum and dads were years ago when treatment wasn’t that available.
