Hi guys, I am 47 still regularly menstruating and had full bloods done a couple of months ago including CA125, it came back at 95. Had it redone a few weeks later, came back at 228. Just had it redone this morning. Waiting for results. I had an ultrasound scan which shows nothing abnormal at all. The reason I had blood tests was because I had a pain in my hip, which turned out to be muscle spasms and trapped nerve. In between the 2 blood results my spasms went worse, my back went and I could only stand lobsided, and gp referred me to msk, but I also saw a chiropractor. He said my spine was out of alignment causing my lower back muscles to sieze up badly and he made some adjustments. My back is now much better the pain has gone and I feel fine. He suggested that the inflammation caused by the muscles being in spasm could possibly be a factor in the result as it was all in my pelvic area. Obviously this is the outcome that I am hoping for. Has anyone else experienced repeated raised CA125 due to trapped nerves, muscle spasms and bad back? The gp is going to speak to the hospital consultant if this blood test also comes back raised to see what the next step should be. Are there any other tests I should be requesting to rule out other cancers?
