I’m 20 and worried I have colon cancer.

Hi

So for the last 5 weeks I have sort of lost me head. I saw very slight amounts of blood in my stool and some mucus. Went to GP and got CBC as well as a FOB. Both came back all clear. I just don’t feel well in my stomach and I have lost like 1kg.

I have been stressing for almost two months now and I don’t know if it is side affects from that. I have also been having lots of gas lately, and only when I think about pain do I get it in my stomach by my belly button. I am extremely stressed. My last two times I went to the bathroom everything seemed to be normal looking and all but I just don’t know if I must just relax fully about that. I know there isn’t much you guys can tell me but is there anyway you could help me try and settle my mind.

Regards x

  • Hi Jsav,

It can be hard to settle the niggling doubt that plays on your mind once you've received your results but if you're still concerned something isn't quite right then it may be worth paying your doctor another visit to discuss this. You could even try getting a second opinion by seeing a different doctor at your GP surgery (if that option is available to you) as well.

I hope you're able to get some peace of mind soon Jsav.

    All the best,
