Breast dimple

Hi everyone, new here!

Im 19 and recently noticed a subtle dimple on my left breast before I went in the bath, this dimple looks different from every angle, different lighting etc. so made an appointment the next day. Seen the GP and she wasn’t concerned at all, I was told nothing to worry about she said about it being a skin crease and isn’t a “true dimple” it doesn’t “pucker” or something. no lumps were found and said to just keep an eye on it for any changes.

But it is still in the back of my head and every chance I get I check in the mirror for changes, Now I’m starting to feel like a dull ache which comes and go.which wasn’t there until the last day or two but I don’t know whether that’s me just worrying and constantly messing and looking for any lumps. So I don’t know whether to make another appointment about my concerns.

Anyone else similar to this?

Thank you

  • Hi Chloe and welcome to the forum.

If you're still worried something isn't quite right then there's no harm in going back to your doctor, especially if you've noticed a change in your symptoms. Peace of mind is always a good thing to have so if booking an appointment will help you get this, then it may be a good idea to do it.

Also, if there's more than one doctor at your GP surgery you could always try getting a second opinion by seeing a different doctor.
