Hi Freddie, you've not given much information about the reason for your referral, so difficult to help you as much as we would like.  Is it a two week referral, this is normal in cases where there may be a problem, bowel, breast, vaginal bleeding, its standard NHS procedure, so don't panic.  Post again and others on the forum will help once they know what you are being referred for, sharing a problem is the best thing you can do.  Best wishes, Carol

I went to my doctor for a routine smear last thursday and he his referring me for a gynaecologist appointment as he thinks i have a polyp he sed it would take 2 wks for a referral. Hope your appointment comes threw quickly .  My mind his going into overdrive with worry . Been told most polyps are non cancerous but i still worry. Good luck to you
