Hi there, I had a hysteroscopy and biopsy due to  postmenopausal bleeding, had an urgent referral scan and it shown thickness of the uterus, have been absolutely so worried for 2 weeks after finally receiving my results yesterday which was benign no further gynaecological investigation needed ,really hope your results are good news too, try and stay positive I know it's not easy x

I had all the same tests as you last year. Unfortunately my biopsy cane back showing cancerous cells in the endometrium. After surgery and internal radiotherapy I got my all clear in April this year.

That's great news for you , I am trying to stay positive. It's hard when you have been bleeding for weeks x

Hi , no they didn't tell me how thick my endometrium is and I didn't think to ask as I was rather stressed after they tried and failed to get biopsy in clinic !!  Hope you get on ok xx

I know how worried you are. I am going through exactly the same thing. Very heavy bleeding which didn’t stop (I’m 51 and not yet started the menopause). Had a vaginal ultrasound which showed the endometrial lining to be 21 mm (average is between 4 and 10 mm) and ‘a mass’. Urgent referral and last Wednesday had a hysteroscopy and a biopsy.  The gynaecologist thinks I have a polyps but my womb is so tilted she struggled to get the camera into my womb.   I am still bleeding really heavily ( soaking through night pads within a hour) and am passing blood clots.  I am still waiting for results of the biopsy. I hope your results come back quickly and you can get on with the next stage. The waiting is the worst I think.  Good luck xxx

I was told mine is 5mm and only doing a biopsy because of the slight bleed I had. x
