Lump in lower calf

Hi, I'm 34 years old and yesterday when shaving my legs I saw a lump in my lower calf. It's the size of a £1 coin and the lump it's self doesn't hurt, it's tender to the touch (but I have been feeling it since I found it so it's difficult to say if this is why it's tender or not).

I have had a muscle type pain in my calf (higher up than where this lump is) for the last 6-8 weeks and I have also felt very tired.

I will be trying to get in to see my GP on Monday morning but I wondered if anyone else had had anything similar which may put my mind at ease in the meantime.

Thanks in advance

  • Hi Owl04,

I just wanted to welcome you to the forum and see if you were able to see your GP today? It's always a tad worrying when you find unexplained lumps and bumps but hopefully your doctor will be able to have a look at it in more detail and put your mind at ease.

I think there have been some similar posts on the forum recently so you're more than welcome to join in on any you find using the 'search forum' option in the blue bar above.

Fingers crossed this isn't any cause for concern and that you're able to get some answers soon.

    All the best,
