The long wait

Hi, I found a lump in my right breast 3 weeks ago, after having stabbing pain and a burning feeling in that breast. I had a mammogram, ultrasound and biopsy 2 days ago. I wasn't expecting that and went to the appointment on my own. I felt really alone and vulnerable and burst into tears. My breast is very sore now with a burning sensation. Is this normal? Also the incision isn't where the lump is and I'm concerned they didn't take the sample from the right place. I have a 2 week wait now and finding it very difficult to stay off Google. I feel really alone in this with family telling me I'll be fine. But they don't know that.

  • Hi pipk people hue are well really don't know what it like when you're worried about being ill some are quite in sensitive they have no idea how you feel, the people who took your sample are the experts they probably saw something you couldn't remember they know what to look for & what ever you do stay off Google it'll only make you worse.. Best wishes.

P.s go to GP to check you out be on safe side.

  • Thank you for your reply. My family are the best and very supportive, so I know when they tell me I'll be fine they are just trying to reassure me. But I'm finding it frustrating. I just feel like I need to speak to someone who understands what the 'wait' feels like.

    Thank you.
