Hi flower nobody can be 100 %sure but biopsies are being done to make it 100%i know it's hard but try to relax we've all had the waiting some are OK the rest are still on here trying to get people to take it easy did they say how long a wait for results.,.

Thank you for the reply. I am trying not to worry. I have convinced myself results will be clear but if they are not I will be totally shocked and unprepared for the results.

Remember even if not clear there is a lot of treatment out there to cure you, you don't say what the biopsy was for..

It was a breast biopsy.

Very true about treatments as there is lots that can be done these days

I had 3 breast biopsies,a scan and mammogram back in March. My consultant told me it was a Fibroadenoma and that the biopsies should confirm this. When my biopsies came back that wasn’t the case. The lump is still benign and fibrous but they now think it’s sonethinf called fibromatosis which is rare to have in the breast.  I’m having a lumpectomy in a months time.

My understanding is that’s if they think it’s breast cancer they tell you or if they think it’s suspicious they also tell you that - pending the results of the biopsy. Also if the biopsies are unclear they will perform a lumpectomy. It’s looking good as they don’t seem to have mentioned breast cancer to you:-)

The waiting is the worst part isn’t it. I almost drove myself crazy! Just remember they haven’t mentioned breast cancer to you. 8 in 10 breast lumps are benign:-)

this forum is a lifesaver. Everyone here is so very helpful and it’s nice to know that we are not the only ones going through this experience.
